We are in the height of our growing season here on the Shore. That means that we have A LOT of produce available to us and many of our neighbors face food insecurity. We are looking for volunteers to pick up produce and deliver it to feeding agencies. We will have pallets of corn and watermelon that will need to be delivered to agencies.
We are looking for volunteers with trucks, vans and trailers to assist us in this process. If you are wanting to participate and the field events aren't quite for you, maybe this opportunity works for you. Drivers would meet the farmer at the packing house, the farmer would load the pallet on your truck, van or trailer and then you would drive to a convenient agency, where they would offload.
We are always looking for volunteers with cars to pick up a few boxes as well. We are incredibly grateful for all the ways in which our volunteers help us to End Hunger in our community.
