Volunteers help guests throughout their time in the laundromat. This includes helping guests register (if needed), guiding them in selecting the right washer and dryer for their laundry, and using Purity Laundry Project (PLP) funds to pay for each load.
Volunteers do not handle guests’ clothing. Guests handle loading and unloading their own laundry. All laundry costs are recorded on the guest’s sign-in card. Volunteers are also encouraged to interact with guests, offering support, encouragement, and a welcoming presence.
