Every year, volunteers from across the state come out to Coastal Cleanup, a
coordinated cleanup of the Delaware coast at over 40 sites in mid-September.
This year's date is Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to noon. If needed, the rain
date will be Saturday, Sept. 26.
Volunteer efforts help make the beaches and wetlands safer for humans and
wildlife and assist in gathering data that is recorded internationally about trash
found on the coast by the Ocean Conservancy.
Register as individuals and groups for this year's event and learn more about the cleanup's history on our webpage de.gov/coastalcleanup.
