Delaware Volunteer Credit

What We Do

The Delaware Volunteer Credit (DVC) was established by the Delaware General Assembly in 1998 allowing high school students in grades 9-12 to earn (1) one elective credit towards graduation upon completion of 90 hours of community service. The volunteer service must be offered during two semesters and performed outside of the student's regularly scheduled school day. The semesters do not have to be consecutive or in the same calendar year.
