Volunteer Delaware

Volunteer Delaware is the State of Delaware’s official volunteer engagement program, housed within the State Office of Volunteerism. We work statewide to connect individuals, families, businesses, and groups with meaningful volunteer opportunities that strengthen Delaware communities.

Volunteer Delaware supports nonprofit organizations and public agencies by promoting volunteer service, increasing awareness of volunteer opportunities, and recognizing the impact of volunteers across the state.

Volunteer Delaware serves as Delaware’s centralized hub for volunteer engagement. Through our statewide volunteer platform, we help connect volunteers with opportunities, support agencies in recruiting and managing volunteers, and provide tools for tracking volunteer service.

Our work includes:

• Connecting volunteers to nonprofit and community service opportunities
• Supporting agencies with volunteer recruitment and engagement tools
• Promoting volunteerism across Delaware
• Administering statewide volunteer recognition programs, including the Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards and the Volunteer Delaware Conference
• Supporting volunteer initiatives such as the Volunteer Credit Program
