Volunteer: Adoption Center Cat & Kitten CareVolunteers are the heart of our PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Centers, helping our cats find the loving forever homes they deserve! As an Adoption Center Volunteer, you’ll play a hands-on role in preparing our shelter cats for adoption by giving them the care, attention, and enrichment they need to shine. Volunteer responsibilities include: Keeping the adoption center sparkling clean and welcoming by scooping litter boxes, disinfecting cat condos, putting away fresh laundry, restocking supplies, and taking out the trash Making sure our kitties always have fresh food and water Showering cats with love and attention—snuggling, socializing, and helping shy cats build confidence Playing and enriching to keep our cats happy, active, and engaged Observing and sharing important notes about each cat’s health and personality to help match them with the perfect adopter Connecting with potential adopters—answering questions and assisting with applications Spreading the word about Forgotten Cats and the wonderful services we provide to the community Every moment you spend with these cats helps them get one step closer to a forever home!
