Imagine opening a fridge when you're hungry and finding it clean, fresh and full of healthy food.  That's what our community fridges mean to families & individuals across Wilmington- and YOU can help make it possible. 

We're building a Community Fridge Cleaning Crew: caring volunteers who make sure our public fridges stay safe, welcoming and ready for anyone in need.  In less than 30 minutes, you can make a direct difference for dozens of neighbors who rely on these fridges daily for fresh accessible food; fresh produce, meals and essentials.  

What You'll Do:

Clean and sanitize fridge shelves and door handlesDiscard expired, spoiled or leaking itemsReorganize and tidy the contentsSweep around the fridge area if needed

What to Bring:

Sanitizing wipes or sprayPaper towels or clothsDisposable gloves (optional)Trash bag (for any spoiled items)

Time Commitment:

30 minutes or less 

Choose a day that works for you-- weekly or bi-weekly commitment encouraged!
