Choir School of Delaware

The Choir School of Delaware, "Harmonizing Life & Learning,” provides life-changing after-school and summer programs for Wilmington children ages 7-17 in an intergenerational environment. Programs combine music education and performance opportunities with homework help, mentoring, and social services, creating a safe, inspiring environment where young people realize their full potential. The Choir School is available to all, regardless of income. Our intergenerational choir, where children sing alongside professional and volunteer adult singers, anchors the after-school program. We perform throughout the state in an exciting concert series.

he Choir School’s after-school program meets four days per week, Monday-Thursday. Students travel directly from school to the Choir School, where they enjoy a meal, study hall, homework help, mentoring, and interdisciplinary activities before choir rehearsal. Dismissal times are between 6:30 and 8:30pm, depending on the student’s age and daily schedule. Limited transporation assistance is available.
